It conveys the idea, the message and the meaning with raw emotion…something Healy is known for (i.e. The track itself resembles the emotion-filled “fallingforyou,” a personal favorite of mine.Īs Healy’s smooth, almost eerie vocals float alongside the foot-tapping beat in the background. This sound in particular is more along the lines of something that would be found on their IV EP. The song i mmediately reminds me of the band’s older stuff, but not something you would hear on their self-titled debut. “Somebody Else” is a track where Matty Healy and the rest of the band go back to their roots. ![]() ![]() ![]() It isn’t upbeat like “Love Me.” It isn’t filled with a catchy chorus or guitar riffs dancing alongside heavy synths like in “UGH!”It isn’t a track that will be played at parties or something you would hear in commercials. The track is nothing like what we’ve heard so far. Yesterday the British band released yet another song called “Somebody Else” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. Last time I did a review for a new single off of The 1975’s forthcoming release I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, I said “The Sound” was my favorite.
